After completing his medical degree, Tim undertook his specialist postgraduate studies in the field of sport and exercise medicine in both Australia and the United Kingdom. He provides consultancy services to a number of elite athletes, teams and organisations. These have included Geelong AFL premiership teams, the AFL draft camp, Richmond Football Club, the Melbourne Rebels and Wallabies.
From 2002-2017 he was the Chief Medical Officer to Tennis Australia and the Australian Open and was a member of the International Tennis Federation Sport Science and Medicine Commission from 2004-11.
In private practice Tim sees a wide range of patients for their sports injuries or musculoskeletal problems – including children through to physically active patients in their 90’s, as well as athletes of all ages and abilities.
Tim adopts an individual holistic approach with each patient identifying lifestyle factors that may be contributing to their presentation and creating a comprehensive management plan in collaboration with them. He undertakes cortisone, viscosupplementation and autologous blood injections in his rooms.
