Outside of work you’ll find me at the beach or river exploring rock pools with my 2 year old daughter, or pushing her on a swing at the playground! To unwind I attend yoga classes locally, a weekly social run club with girlfriends, and look forward to joining the local book club in March! After living in London for the past 4 years we are really leaning into the slower pace the beautiful Bellarine has to offer.
I have been working in healthcare as a nurse then podiatrist for 11 years and have experience in both public and private settings. Previously working in a busy podiatry clinic in Geelong exposed me to all aspects of podiatry including general care, paediatric presentations, lower limb biomechanics, orthotic and exercise prescription, and injury management. Throughout my career I have cared for patients across all ages, from unwell neonates to the elderly, with a passion to improve both health literacy and outcomes to all patients and families.
The broad scope of podiatry and different patients we are able to help is what I love about the job. I enjoy all aspects from general nail care, paediatric patients, lower limb injury management, diabetic foot care and orthotic prescription. Overall I enjoy educating my patients to ensure they feel empowered and in control of their health concerns.
Working locally with a kind, passionate multidisciplinary team is why I chose to work here. The team environment is beneficial to not only me as a developing healthcare professional but also is a great benefit to our patients and their health outcomes.
