Join the Team – Receptionist
13th Beach Health Services is seeking a new team member to contribute to the efficient and smooth functioning of 13th Beach Health Services, by providing high-quality reception and administration support to our patients and clinic staff.
The successful applicant will need to undertake all duties in a caring and supportive manner and provide an exceptional standard of care to clients. As the first point of contact in our clinic, it is essential reception staff have a smiling, friendly disposition and provide each patient with an excellent healthcare experience.Â
Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will have:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate warmly with patients
- The ability to provide a high standard of reception and administrative support
- The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work independently, show initiative, and work productively within a very busy team environment
- Previous allied health or medical reception experience is preferred.
This position will include mid-week morning/evening and some Saturday shifts as the clinic is open extended hours. It is suited for a person who thrives in a busy work environment and is highly organised and motivated.
The successful applicant must be capable of the following key responsibilities and duties:Â
- Switchboard: able to answer and deal with phone enquiries promptly in a confident and efficient manner.
- Reception: greet clients, record client arrival, and inform clients of potential delays.
- Correspondence: manage the clinic correspondence as necessary.
- Financial: process payments and issue receipts.
- General Duties: photocopying, scanning, stock ordering.
- Record Keeping: data entry with a high level of accuracy with particular reference to patient bookings.
- Assist in supporting the therapists to achieve best client outcomes.
- Additional duties as required: basic tidying, cleaning, folding towels.
The position is for an immediate start. Days/hours are negotiable, however successful applicant must be available for some after-hours/Saturday shifts and be flexible during periods of staff leave, sick leave and peak holiday periods. Remuneration dependent on years of relevant administrative experience.
