What is Mat Pilates?

Exercise Pilates, also known as Clinical Pilates, is ran by a Physiotherapist and aims to improve our bodies function, flexibility, muscular strength, balance and endurance. Pilates uses selective and repetitive body movements with particular focus on control and stability and can reduce and prevent pain caused by injury, accident and overuse.

Our practitioners strive to understand your individual goals, build your confidence and ultimately improve your physical abilities. Exercises are adapted to suit your level with personalised support and technique correction provided throughout the class.

Low Impact Exercise Class (Formerly Gold Pilates)

 WHAT TO EXPECT?

45 minute Physiotherapy lead classes involving low-impact movements.
The class is designed to challenge muscular strength, flexibility and balance to improve posture and overall wellness. Exercises are conducted in standing or on a pilates mat with tailored technique correction and progressions provided to keep you safe and get the most out of each class.

This class is ideal for beginners to intermediate individuals wanting to build their techniques while still challenging themselves, or those requiring controlled and low-impact movements.

HOW DO I START?

It is highly recommended you have a Physiotherapy Assessment prior to starting classes however you can commence classes without assessment by completing a medical waiver.

Loose fitting/comfortable clothing (e.g. t-shirt, tracksuit pants, tights)

Core Strength and Conditioning Class

WHAT TO EXPECT?

45 minute Physiotherapy Lead Classes designed to challenge the core, upper body and lower body strength. Classes will have a strong emphasis on functional and dynamic movement in a supported and interactive environment.

This class is suited for intermediate and advanced individuals seeking more challenging exercises.

HOW DO I START?

It is highly recommended you have a Physiotherapy Assessment prior to starting classes however you can commence classes without assessment by completing a medical waiver.
