Week 2 – Dynamic Warm Up by James Muling and Jim
We hope you are all going well with your training for the 13th Beach Health Services Triathlon on the 16th of February 2020.
How do you warm-up properly before swimming?? Good question, James and Jim are here to help. This can be broken in to two parts. Active warm up followed by dynamic stretching. For your active warm up, get in the water early, swim for 5 mins, easy pace, work on your technique with controlled long deep breaths.
Once out of the water, get in to your dynamic stretches. Focus on three key areas: – Neck, shoulders and mid back. Circles and twists for each region. Aim for 10 repetitions of each movement.
